Echoes Pres. Full Body Workout mixed by Hector Romero by Various Artists

Following the release of the double album ‘Ciao Italia. Generazioni Underground ‘, a success with critics and audience, we decided to revive trough the streaming platforms the official Echoes compilation ‘Full Body Workout’ selected and mixed by Hector Romero’, originally released in 2009.

Born from an idea of the owners Gianluca Tantini and the artistic director Maurizio Monti, Echoes in Misano, Riccione was one of the most representative clubs of the Italian underground music scene of the 90s, the forefather of a new vision of the ‘club culture’, where music was the main protagonist and the dj the person able to reinterpret dreams and aspirations of the audience.
The club became a territory opened to contaminations and vanguards. People like MozArt, who invented the ‘new afro sound’, Ricky Montanari and Flavio Vecchi, who launched the ‘Riviera House’, contributed to the start of a new creative movement, knocking down the boundaries and bringing Italy to the attention of the music culture. The club closed the structure permanently in 2008 and moved his parties to the former Prince Club, renaming it Nu Echoes.

The internationally acclaimed New York dj Hector Romero was hosting the Full Body Workout night at the famous club in Riccione every Wednesday nights during the summer 2009. He is the driving force behind Saw Recordings and member of the Def Mix, alongside David Morales, Satoshi Tomiie and the father of House music Frankie Knuckles. Hector has mixed this special compilation, including some of the best tracks from the Rebirth catalogue: peak–time tunes, pure dancefloor tracks, and a different vibe too, more eclectic, atmpospheric, balearic and electronic, music from the likes of And If Feat Alison Limerick, Robytek, NUfrequency Feat Shara Nelson, A:xus, The Droyds, Billie Ray Martin and Ajello among the others.
