Asteria by Musicoleptik

If a theme was to be assigned to this EP, it would be migration. The longing for home, is communicated through the instrumentation and use of polyphonic singing hailing from various parts of Greece. It also touches on the internal conflict of whether or not a return back home would ever be possible. Geraldine in particular is more focussed on loss, whether that’s the passing of someone or simply losing people to circumstance. With time, some people change, develop demons or simply get lost in life and its struggles. The track was originally named Asteria but as it was nearing completion in the studio, one of my mother’s best friends sadly passed away so I named it after her instead.
