Samedia Shebeen presents a digital dance label SAMEDIA TRAX to showcase joyful global club tracks from our extended family worldwide.

Beginning at home in Scotland we are releasing 3 original slices of SAMSON SOUNDS goodness. The well loved Glasgow-based band and production outfit are no strangers to the Samedia stage. Their energetic music is a unique fusion of afrobeat, dub, dancehall and funk styles. Lead track Goyaton is influenced by the rhythms of Funana from Cape Verde, swapping out the accordion for electric guitar and marimba, while Antipodes takes in psychedelic tones and funk rhythms from opposing corners of the world. The final track, Turbo Pause, lifts the energy up to the stratosphere in a rapid, brass-laden, afro-beat screamer.

Each SAMEDIA TRAX release will feature a guest remixer – and for our debut release we stay in Glasgow with fast-rising producer CASEMENT who delivers a very tasy bass heavy rub of Goyaton for the soundsystems when they start to play again.
