Clap! Clap! returns to Black Acre for his second outing of 2020 – a percussive single entitled ‘Mandragora’.
Named after the mandrake – a magical plant used in ancient rituals to cure people’s souls -‘Mandragora’ demonstrates Clap! Clap!’s speciality in sourcing inspiration from every corner of the world. A cacophony of elements, such as delayed strings, intricate rhythms, chanting vocals and delayed stabs, are all blended together expertly to generate a mesmeric aesthetic by an artist very much at the top of his game.
