Vengo Ganao by Village Cuts

Village Cuts are a dynamic DJ / Producer duo from London, showcasing music from Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean, through the lens of UK club culture. Since their inception in 2018, they have ignited dance floors at venues and festivals around Europe, whilst holding down regular club nights and live events across London.

The duo have released music with ​Wah Wah 45s,​ ​Strut Records​ and ​Heavenly Sweetness​, and have recorded with pioneering musicians from Africa and Colombia. Village Cuts are truly committed to championing new sounds whilst celebrating global underground movements.

For their debut on Galletas Calientes Records, they’ve produced an electro-soukous double-sider released December 2020 on 7″ vinyl, alongside Colombian Champeta legend Louis Towers and British guitar virtuoso Patrick McMahon aka Mahon Sounds ( mahonsounds.bandcamp.com )

Although never having set foot on Champeta’s promised land (that is Colombia), the duo managed to get a pertinent grasp at the genre, adding most of the elements to their own Afrobass flavor and UK club production technique. West African beats, “caidas”… more
