Sweet Afrika by Dotorado Pro
The young producer who was crowned the king of the Lisbon afro-house scene at the young age of 16 with the undeniable anthem ‘African Scream’, and further expanded his reign with the 2016 EP ‘Rei das Marimbas’, proves once again that no one is as fit to wear that crown with the release of ‘Sweet Afrika’.
In true Dotorado Pro style, his first official release in almost two years is a compelling percussive exercise that perfectly exemplifies what afro-house is all about. Fast-paced interwoven melodic patterns looped over layers of urgent syncopated percussion, vocal samples and dramatic flute notes create an intense, dancefloor-focused experience like few others inside the global club music spectrum.
Inspired by the rhythms that are igniting the dance floors of his native Angola and primed in clubs all across Europe, Dotorado Pro embodies the unique blend of influences, styles and culture that characterize Lisbon’s thriving afro-influenced electronic music scene. ‘Sweet Afrika’ marks the return of the young producer who inspires dozens of Youtube dance videos with every tune, paving the way for a series of new Dotorado Pro releases on Enchufada throughout the year, as the young prodigy gets ready to make 2018 his busiest year yet.
