Na Procura by Yemanjo

Na Procura” is the new EP from Guatemala-based producer/multi instrumentalist Yemanjo. True to the spirit of its title (Portuguese for “in the search”), Na Procura reflects Yemanjoʼs bold, constantly evolving sound inspired by his world travels and deep love for traditional musical idioms.
Ethnic instruments and vocals blend with flying synths and kicks; Guinean style guitar and tribal percussion bring organic warmth to driving mid-tempo house beats. From the mysterious, searching depths of its title track to the unmitigated joy of “Fonye”, Na Procura takes the listener on a kaleidoscopic journey of discovery.

“Na Procura” receives remixes from Mose and Zuma Dionys. Both make beautiful use of the source material while taking the track in their own bold, hypnotic directions. “Fonye” is remixed by California-based producer Scott Nice. His energetic, dance-floor ready treatment of the tune stays true to the original while bringing it to incendiary new heights.
