Some tracks grow spontaneously and organically, flowing from a small seed of inspiration into a forest of rhythm. Higher ground was one of those tracks, born from a serendipitous collaboration between Oedipa Maas and Jonas Schilling.
Jonas’ initial idea sparked the fire already, leading us to build upon it with a complex interplay of polyrhythmic sounds and textures, all hooked together with a steady kick drum. The densely layered motifs, ebbing and flowing over the constant beat like in a trance.
