Breaking Dawn EP by Kalipo

Breaking Dawn marks the 13th EP set for release on Heimlich Musik, with two original cuts tailor-made for the Viennese imprint by the legend that is Kalipo and remix contributions by no one less than Lauer, MontCosmik and Javier Busto.

Combining the rough, pumping sound aesthetics of Italo Disco and Electro Clash with Slow House and Downbeat elements, Kalipo delivers two dark and slow tunes uniting influences of his first steps as a producer with his experiences during the last years.

With a slight change in key, Frankfurt-based Lauer transforms Breaking Dawn into one of the uplifting bangers he’s known for around the world, with an almost Depeche Mode-like sound design.

MontCosmik’s interpretation of “”Breaking Dawn”” is based on a mighty bass line to bring back an old-school vibe, supported by some nice arpeggiator lines and energetic drum elements.

Rounding up the EP as a whole, Madrid’s Javier Busto creates explosive moments with the potential of letting a whole dance floor escalate, thanks to gritty electric guitar sounds with a lot of Rock ’n Roll attitude.
