Blue Sky by Sad Radio On Cassini

Next on Real Balearic we slow the tempo down for two tracker from the electric sounding (and eclectically named) Sad Radio On Cassini. This is the moniker for Dimitry Ivanov who creates emotional soundscapes which sound one Part Ulrich Schnauss, one part Cocteau Twins on a happy day and one part 80s long-lost hidden movie soundtrack.

“Blue Sky” opens the release it’s a track both joyous and uplifting but somehow forlorn at the same time. Sparkling synths, optimistic sound washes and a smattering bells and syn-plucks envelope themselves into a fine musical work.

“Sun Glitters Tribute” back the lead track. It is a slower and more grainy in approach. The uplifting arpeggios are there again but this time backed by a gritty bassline and mororik drive.
