Beam me Up by Amount & Tiefgeist

Amount and Tiefgeist team up for EP number twenty on Heimlich Musik, collaborating between Munich and Berlin to deliver two fresh original mixes with Arutani and Lukas Endhardt on remix duty. Beam Me Up is a reduced version of slowed-down house with cosmic synth lines building upon a foundation of analog drums and an energetic bassline. Reise durch den Äther takes a darker path based on a hypnotic synth structure inspired by Dub Techno with psychedelic accents floating along with the arrangement. While Arutani’s interpretation of Beam Me Up makes use of his emotional signature style somewhere between melancholia and euphoria, Lukas Endhardt’s remix of Reise durch den Äther is full of energy with a banging bassline and trippy elements strongly inspired by the original’s main synth theme. Amount and Tiefgeist’s Beam Me Up EP is a modern interpretation of classic genres of electronic music with vintage vibes and a pinch of Bavarian beer.
